Students can chose between STANDARD and INTENSIVE programs. Standard programs last for 2 semesters, from September until June. Intensive programs are 1 semester long, and are from January until June. Students, however, can apply during the whole academic year as they are not limited by application deadlines.
TFP courses are held in English. During the program students reveive an education in the English language along with the subjects related to the technical field. Every applicant is required to take the Avicenna Placement Test (APT) – this way we can evaluate your level in English and science and we can admit you to the group which is the most suitable for you.
Students are not expected to have a high level of English, as TFP includes an intensive language training as well. During the semesters they are given tuition in the language, thus by the end of their studies at Avicenna they can acquire a high level of knowledge in both English and the core subjects of the technical field.
TFP is intended for those who wish to continue their studies in one of the technical fields such as engineering or architecture. Besides preparing students for the entrance examination, the material of the first year of the university is also partly addressed, which ensures a better understanding of the university materials.
Since the program includes an intensive language training as well, those who attend Avicenna are sure to develop not only their technical knowledge but their language skills too.
