The opening ceremony of the Avicenna International Christmas Exhibition and Fair, organized for the first time by Avicenna Holding, commenced on December 8, 2023, in the large lecture hall of the Avicenna International College, which is part of the company group and is also suitable for prestigious events. Eight students with their accompanying teacher from AIC participated in an Erasmus+ group activity in Nocera Umbra, Italy hosted by Istituto Omnicomprensivo Dante Alighieri. The group gathered early Sunday morning in Budapest airport before taking off to Italy’s Roma Ciampino airport. After landing, the group had lunch in the airport before riding a Flixbus heading to Foligno where two representatives of the hosting organization were waiting for our arrival, Luisa and Alessio. AIC started the beginning of academic year 2023-24 with a surprisingly wonderful cultural program, a unique and one-of-a-kind folk dance play performed by the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble and the Honvéd Férfikar in MÜPA.The lucky 21 students who were involved in the event were from grade 9 accompanied by the Italian Erasmus students, and met in front of the theater on 20. Avicenna International College held its first School Camp at the magnificent surroundings of the soft range of Pilis mountains in Csattogó Völgy at Verőce on 4.-5. September. 2023. All the bilingual high school students, along with their teachers, traveled by train from Nyugati Railway station to Verőce where within a 15 mins walk in a lovely forest path, they reached the campsite. We are thrilled to share a unique experience that some of the Grade 9 students at Avicenna International College recently had. On a bright and sunny day, these students took their mathematics class outside, in the school yard. The benefits of holding classes outdoors are numerous and well-known. Fresh air, natural light, and a change of environment can help students feel more engaged and focused, leading to improved academic performance. On 4. April AIC took a few Foundation Students from AMFP, BFP and TFP on a free visit to the Parliament. This time, they were guided by an English audio guide on a 45-minute tour of perhaps the most beautiful Parliament in the world. The group of ten, consisting mainly of Persian students and one Russian student, with two escorts, took a direct tram from the AIC building to the Parliament as usual. At Avicenna we started in this year of 2023 to give our most dedicated and hard-working students unparalleled opportunities to take part in travel and study programmes in the so-called Erasmus Group Mobilities as part of our Erasmus projects, supported by the EU Commission, intent on a full swing internationalisation.
